Spotlight on Wallenpaupack Brewing Company

Some relationships run deep, and it’s interesting how they can become new business opportunities. That’s how the relationship between Wallenpaupack Brewing Company and Tri-State Carbonation Service began. The owners of WBC were long time Combined Energy Services propane customers. When Becky Ryman and her brother, Christopher, decided to take a hobby to a full-scale brewing operation, they knew who to call for their carbonation needs – Tri-State Carbonation Services, sister company of CES.

Located just north of Lake Wallenpaupack on Route 6, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company has been serving craft beer since September 2017 in their 12,000 square foot brewery. In their second year of operation, they were awarded the first ever “PA Preferred® Legacy” Award (2019) for their Wet Hop Farmhouse Ale. This award is given to a beer made with predominantly Pennsylvania-sourced ingredients. The award lent itself to the success of another local business, Hop Barons. Hop Barons, of Honesdale PA, are the growers of the hops used in the award-winning ale.

Fast forward another year and Ryman along with brewmaster Logan Ackerly have set some pretty lofty goals. Looking to double their 2019 production of 2,000 barrels, they seem to be on their way. With a wide variety of traditional craft beers including IPAs, stouts, Belgiums and lagers the brewery has also moved into hard seltzer.

We’re happy to have Wallenpaupack Brewing Company as a customer and look forward to many years of service for both their CO2 and propane needs. Visit them on Facebook @wallepaupackbrewingcompany.
