According to one of BIG aLICe BREWING Company’s founders, Kyle Hurst, they decided to go with Tri-State Carbonation Service for all three of their locations because “they are reliable and responsive.”

Beginning production in January 2013.  Their original 10-gallon pilot system, they brewed and exclusively bottled flavor-forward, one-off batches, which they sold on-premises through their CSB membership program.  Founders Kyle Hurst and Scott Berger connected with local CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) and Food Co-ops to find local, fresh, and organic ingredients with the idea of preserving seasonal flavors through beer.

Since 2013, they have opened a taproom for onsite drinking, expanded our brewing capacity, and now distribute throughout the five boroughs, Long Island, greater New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

In 2019, they opened the Barrel Room, a dedicated barrel aging facility within Industry City, Brooklyn. With a large taproom and space for many barrels this is going to be an exciting venue that allows Big aLICe BREWING to keep getting bigger and bigger.  

Then May 1st, 2021 they opened their third location in the Finger Lakes, consisting of a brewery housing a 15bbl brewhouse, taproom and amazing grounds.

Over the course of 3 days breweries throughout the state broadcasted live with music performances, tours and more in efforts to raise $25,000.

Some relationships run deep, and it’s interesting how they can become new business opportunities. That’s how the relationship between Wallenpaupack Brewing Company and Tri-State Carbonation Service began. The owners of WBC were long time Combined Energy Services propane customers. When Becky Ryman and her brother, Christopher, decided to take a hobby to a full-scale brewing operation, they knew who to call for their carbonation needs – Tri-State Carbonation Services, sister company of CES.

Located just north of Lake Wallenpaupack on Route 6, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company has been serving craft beer since September 2017 in their 12,000 square foot ​​brewery. In their second year of operation, they were awarded the first ever “PA Preferred® Legacy” Award (2019) for their Wet Hop Farmhouse Ale. This award is given to a beer made with predominantly Pennsylvania-sourced ingredients. The award lent itself to the success of another local business, Hop Barons. Hop Barons, of Honesdale PA, are the growers of the hops used in the award-winning ale.

Fast forward another year and Ryman along with brewmaster Logan Ackerly have set some pretty lofty goals. Looking to double their 2019 production of 2,000 barrels, they seem to be on their way. With a wide variety of traditional craft beers including IPAs, stouts, Belgiums and lagers the brewery has also moved into hard seltzer.

July 2018 – This month we are highlighting 2 Dogz and a Guy Brewing in Montrose, Pennsylvania. 

2 Dogz and a Guy is a microbrewery who’s Master Brewer started 10 years ago. With a fresh variety of draft beer and live music on the weekends – this brewery is a sure win in the Montrose area.

Last September, Tri-State Carbonation Service installed a CO2 system for 2 Dogz and a Guy, who recently wrote us about their experience:
